Our Story

The founders of CloudQnect got started on the Salesforce platform in 2001. Over the next several years, and through many development initiatives we came to realize that while the platform was the next generation in enterprise system development, it still required some of the best lessons learned from traditional I.T. for the structure and discipline of Development, Administration, and DevOps.

Over the years we saw many initiatives both fail and succeed. The most fundamental and common denominator was the structure and discipline of the teams. This started our journey to formulate a group of products and services that today form the foundation of all we do.

Meet Our Team

David started his technology career in 1999. He quickly rose from developer to architect, technical lead, manager, and then director of application development and application lifecycle management. He has been on the Salesforce platform since 2011 doing everything from architecture and development, to administration, DevOps, and project management.

His last position, before starting CloudQnect, was Director of Application Development for a rail logistics company, managing initiatives on both .NET and Salesforce. David brings a depth of experience to the Salesforce platform, and has worked on large complex projects in the Banking, Insurance, Real Estate, Retail, Non-Profit, and Logistics industries.

DHERYLD HOUSTON EVP Business Development
Who is this ‘Dheryld Houston’ you ask? Great question. Technology became a part of my life in 2002. As a tri-sport Division I Athlete for Hampton University, I picked the major of Computer Science with Java Development being my official Introduction. It was 5 years later that I continued my path within technology becoming an I.T. Recruiter for Apex Systems, Inc. I have experience being the successful owner of two previous companies (one a Sales & Marketing Firm and the other a Staffing Agency), along with 11 years of experience within the staffing industry. With 7 of those years being specifically focusing on I.T./Technology Staffing, I accumulated experience understanding both the Infrastructure & Development side of I.T. Departments.

My experience within the Development side of I.T. spanned from Front-End Development, Back-End Development, Mobile Development, Database Analysis / Administration / Development / Architecture, Business Analyst, Project Management, ERP Integration & Customization, and more. On the infrastructure side, my role was to understand multiple skill-sets from Help Desk to Technical Support to Desktop Support all the way to the Analyst / Administrator / Engineer / Architect levels of Systems/Security/Network. More importantly, this spawned my introduction into the world of ERP, Salesforce, and the Cloud.

It is both my knowledge & familiarity with technology, being coupled with business ownership experience that inspired me to help create and proudly represent the premium brand that is CloudQnect. We are on the verge of a technology revolution and CloudQnect is here to ensure you experience all the benefits!

Alex Weedon is a Richmond, VA native who attended Northwestern University of Ohio located in Lima, OH. Alex was exposed to Entrepreneurship at an early age with his grandfather being an Owner & partner of Integrated Textile Systems, and his father starting Datura Technologies.

Alex began his professional career with his first pure sales position representing Verizon Business. He established himself as a Top Performer from Day 1, breaking multiple company records in both promotions, sales, and team building as well. He achieved a promotion to the position of Retention Manager with a sister B2B sales company, Executive Solutions Inc., before transitioning into the Jr. VP of Sales at Atlantic Fence Supply. In this role, Alex had the opportunity to not only help mentor other sales individuals but also was involved with the daily holistic sales operations. Alex developed an ecommerce site from concept to roll out, in turn Alex was able to generate over 1.6M in new Revenue.

Alex then partnered with Dheryld Houston to open Executive Placements in 2014. For the past 4 years Dheryld and Alex have built a Multi-Million-Dollar IT Staffing firm focusing on Development, Integration, and Infrastructure. Most recently combined with his knowledge of technology, and passion for delivering a superior product, has partnered with CouldQnect. If you haven’t noticed we are on the brink of technology disruption, thankfully CloudQnect is here to make it feel like home.

Ken BalogEVP Sales & Marketing
Ken leads CloudQnect’s Sales and Marketing efforts. Ken is a seasoned entrepreneur having started or co-started several companies in the telecommunications and internet arenas and managing their growth from start-up to more than $100mm. Ken has also advised and negotiated the successful exit for several entrepreneurial companies, including his own companies. Ken has negotiated strategic partnerships with the likes of Microsoft, Netscape, Warner Brothers, Paramount Pictures, Qwest, WPP, Disney, Marvel Entertainment, Warner Music and Universal Music, to name a few.
Ken has over 25 years’ executive management experience having been Vice president of Sales, marketing product development and President for telecom and internet-based companies. Ken also served on the board of NASDAQ listed AVOZ Entertainment. He holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business and Marketing from The Ohio State University‘s Max M. Fisher College of Business.
